Built in 1909, this State Heritage-listed building showcases impressive architecture with wide verandahs. This building served the people of the Coolamon district and operated as a general store until 1932. The store remains as a visual reminder of the ingenuity and skill of local architects, builders and retail traders and their staff. The Store highlights its original fittings including the Lamson Cash Railway. The Lamson Cash Railway System is a significant feature of retail history.
The store is now home to a number of impressive collections and exhibitions. These include the Gullaman, Mavis Furner, Garth Jones and Reg Godde Collections, Our Shire, Our Stories and the Coolamon RSL Museum.
