The historic building was originally a Masonic Lodge and has been converted to a thriving community hub full of culture and conversation.
A licensed cafe restaurant, boutique armchair cinema and beautiful bookstore with gifts and produce, Nest has a unique style. With an ever-changing menu serving up big breakfasts, lazy lunches, gourmet pizzas, and seasonal dinners, Nest is a destination for locals and travellers.
Nest has a passion for local and seasonal produce, allowing guests to eat and drink from a creative seasonal menu grown in the Nest food garden and nearby orchards, vineyards, mountain streams and paddocks. A small Local Produce and Handmade Market is held every third Saturday morning of the month on the front lawn while in the backyard, a food garden is being tended to supply the cafe.

Just under an hour from Tumbarumba, Harvest By The River is only a stone’s throw from the Tumut River, in the heart of Tumut.

Opening from 8am weekends (and 8.30am Monday – Friday), this is the perfect spot to meet with friends, enjoy beautifully presented dishes and indulge with a hot coffee.
