Coolamon Shire Council are proud to present the first annual “Yield Festival”: A celebration of creative arts in the Coolamon Shire. A collection of events, workshops, performances and experiences that highlight the makers, thinkers and creators in our community.

Capture Coolamon Shire Photographic Competition

The highlight of the festival will be the coming together of two longstanding events within the Coolamon Shire arts scene. Capture Coolamon Shire Photographic Competition, and the Up2Date Art Show are combining to create a premier exhibition held within the Up-to-Date Store Cultural and Learning Precinct. The festival will be launched at a gala evening, featuring live entertainment, food trucks and drink vendors. The gala evening will be held on Friday 12 November 2021 from 6pm.

The Capture Coolamon Shire Photography exhibition is running alongside the Up-2-Date Art Show to provide a two-week exhibition held with the Up-to-Date Store Cultural and Learning Precinct as part of the festival.

The Up2Date Art Exhibition celebrates a diverse range of artworks. The exhibition brings together artists from across the Riverina Region in all mediums. The exhibition is open to established artists & new and emerging artists to display their artwork. The 2021 theme is ‘Out the Back’. This exhibition is presented by Up2Date Art Inc. and will run alongside the Capture Coolamon Shire Photography Exhibition.

You can view the free exhibition on Friday 12 November from 10am – 4pm at Coolamon Up-to-Date Store, Loughnan Street Coolamon.

Tumut River Brewing Co. Tap Days

The brew-loving crew from the TRBC are inviting some other crafty brewers for a tap day on the banks of the picturesque Tumut River. Expect to sample some exceptional local craft drinks and tasty food while live bands send out tunes into the crisp mountain air at the gorgeous Bila Park.

Tumbarumba Spring Flower Festival


The Tumbarumba Spring Flower Festival showcases a range of beautiful open gardens as well as featuring activities for the whole family and exquisite art and photography.

This action-packed weekend takes in 9 open gardens, the famous Flower Show, a photography competition and exhibition, an art/sculpture competition, kid’s activities and a raffle with great prizes.

Come along for a weekend of amazing gardens and art.  You can also enjoy the delicious local produce and cool-climate wine on offer as well as the many stunning features of this incredible area.

November Aircraft Showcase


At Temora, you can get closer to the action as you witness a themed selection of Australia’s ex-military flying history come alive.

Aircraft Showcase promises to deliver a full day of entertainment for all generations, including:

Sugar & Spice at Lake Centenary


Every Wednesday and Sunday in Temora you can escape the reality of the world and immerse yourself in delicious treats and beautiful surroundings.

Temora YOUth-Made Market


The youth of Temora have big ideas, and now they have a place to launch them.

Come along to the old Target building in Temora’s main street and browse the market stalls of the young people of the Temora Shire. Young people as young as 10 have participated in a five-week business program where they have taken a little idea and created a business out of it – to be launched at the YOUth-Made Market in November. You’ll be blown away by what these young people are capable of and will undoubtedly walk away with some goodies.

Snake Gully Cup


The Gundagai Adelong Racing Club is excited to announce that they will be holding the Snake Gully Cup Carnival on 12 – 13 November 2021.

Taking its name from the famous “Dad and Dave” radio program, the popularity, prize money, and prestige of the Snake Gully Cup Carnival has grown dramatically in recent years, with thousands of racegoers converging each November on the picturesque Gundagai racecourse.

With two full race days, the popular fashions on the field, family fun, and top sponsors, the Snake Gully Cup Carnival makes a great time to come and visit and enjoy Gundagai.

Tickets are now available to purchase for Snake Gully Cup day and Hair of the Dog race day, unfortunately, no tickets will be sold at the gate. Ticket numbers will be restricted, and the carnival will be held in accordance with all NSW Health and Racing NSW protocols. This includes a requirement for all attendees to be fully vaccinated.
