Summertime in the Riverina’s hot, dry climate means opportunities to have fun and cool off are never far away. From public pools with spectacular water slides to kayaking the Murrumbidgee – a Riverina holiday will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Lake Talbot Water Park, Narrandera

Narrandera locals know that they have one of the best water parks in the region – and now you can experience it too. Lake Talbot Water Park features three new water slides, four swimming pools, terraced lawns, shady trees and barbeques. Bring a picnic or purchase snacks at the kiosk.

Don’t forget to check out the gum trees behind the pool to see if there’s a koala or two!!

Holland Park Pool, West Wyalong

Heading north to West Wyalong you’ll find the fabulous Holland Park Pool.

Relax with an afternoon barbeque with friends and family on the grassed area or grab some food from the huge range of choices on the menu at the kiosk.

Holland Park Play Pool, West Wyalong

With an Olympic-sized 8 lane pool with a diving board, waterslide, hydro play pool and aqua inflatable slide this is one of the coolest places to swim, splash and play all summer long.

Kayaking on the Murrumbidgee, Gundagai

If water slides aren’t your thing, get back to nature with a paddle on the Murrumbidgee river. Gundagai is a great place to take the Kayak or Canoe out and explore the beautiful waterway. Immerse yourself in nature and experience the abundance of wildlife that live in and around the river. Teach the kids in the quiet waters of Morley’s Creek, or paddle against the river current for some great aerobic exercise.
