The Temora Ambulance Museum is a wonderful reflection of the heritage of one of the country’s most respected organisations, the NSW Ambulance Service. The collection represents the culmination of many years’ work by volunteers, including around 30 retired and serving paramedics who travelled thousands of kilometres to secure and preserve items of historical interest.
The museum houses items that date back to World War I, such as medical first aid kits, oxygen kits, splints, conveyance mechanisms, and many other artefacts of that nature. The main attraction, however, is the collection of immaculately preserved ambulances vehicles from throughout the history of the service, all in working order, and many of which have featured in TV series and movies.
The museum is the only one of its kind in NSW and it will not disappoint.
