Located just 52 kilometres west of Hay, Maude is another beautiful place to set up camp or cast a line.

Expect to find Yellowbelly, Redfin and Murray Cod as well as plenty of native wildlife along the banks of the Bidgee.

Tired of feeding the fish? Enjoy some country hospitality at the Post Office Hotel or take a peaceful stroll through the local history along the Meandering Maude Walking Trail. The Trail features 6 panels that explore the story of Maude from the rich river history to the unique landscape and birdlife of the region. The relaxing 30-minute walk starts opposite the Maude store, with panels dotted around the parkland adjacent to the Weir.
