In May 2019, the inaugural Banna Lane Festival was held in Griffith, creating a gallery of vibrant murals and bringing a beacon of colour to one of the city’s most used laneways. There are five large scale murals and four painted padmount transfers to discover on a stroll down the lane. The fresh and modern murals, created by renowned street artists Guido van Helten, Ian McCallum, Cory McKenzie, Bronte Naylor, Brett Piva and Cooper Crothers bring the walls to life. Take a self guided tour anytime of year, particularly Saturday afternoons and Sunday when traffic in the lane is light.
