From 1st June 2020, regional travel restrictions were lifted in New South Wales.
We welcome visitors back to the Riverina, but remind everyone that social distancing measures remain in place, and to practice good hand hygiene. Visitors are encouraged to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Please also be aware that some attractions and businesses may be operating under changed conditions or have different operating hours to normal.
NSW has temporarily imposed border restrictions with Victoria to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the health and jobs of NSW citizens.
The NSW Government is closing the border with Victoria from 12:01 am Wednesday 8 July 2020. Further, from 12:01 am Tuesday 7 July, residents from Greater Melbourne will not be allowed to enter NSW.
Under the Public Health (COVID-19 Interstate Hotspots) Order, anyone who has been in a COVID-19 hotspot outside of NSW in the past 14 days must not travel to NSW unless:
- they are a NSW resident
- they are entering NSW to obtaining medical or other care, to fulfil a legal obligation or give effect to a Court order, or to provide an essential service.
Camping grounds, caravan parks, museums, and libraries may remain closed at this time – check with individual operators before you travel.
