Ariah Park is the birthplace of bulk wheat handling but prior to that wheat was packaged in bags and carried on the shoulders of men. The Wheat Lumper Statue in Coolamon Street, Ariah Park, pays homage to those men and the wheat lumping era.
Whislt visiting the Wheat Lumper Statue you can also take in the century old peppercorn trees lining the streets, the old petrol bowsers, the Wool Stamp Wall in Davey Park, lunch at the historic Ariah Park Hotel and meander through the Echoes of Ariah Park Museum.
